About [Edit]
Background: FESADE is an off-shoot of the Women and Health in Sub-Saharan Africa project that was launched in 1988. It is a pan-African non-governmental organization.
Objectives: FESADE's main concern is the health and development of women in sub-Saharan Africa. It also works to promote the health of children, families and communities.
Activities: The Association has adopted a socio-cultural approach to the problems relating to women's health. It uses information, education and communication to pursue its objectives. Its programs and activities are directed primarily to Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic and Togo. FESADE organizes training workshops for its field workers, public awareness campaigns on the question of women's health and development, and research on relevant topics. It also operates a documentation centre and produces audio-visuals.
