Introduction
The Negeri Sembilan Family Planning Association (NSFPA) is an Autonomous Body and is a voluntary Organization registered with the Registrar of Societies in August 1962 by a group of dedicated volunteers and members. For the last 4 years, the Association has, through its various projects, contributed greatly towards the improvement of Health and Quality of Life of families, both in the urban and rural areas of Negeri Sembilan.NSFPA Philosophy
The Association believes that knowledge and practice of family planning is a basic human right and an essential element of Responsible Living, Responsible Parenthood, Stable Family Life thus contributing positively towards social harmony and national development.Its ROLE and FUNCTIONS are as follows:
1. As a Service Provider
The Association will continue to play a Complementary and Supplementary Role in providing Comprehensive Quality Family Planning and Reproductive Health-Care-related-Services to the eligible women, men and youths of the various communities, including provision of scientific contraceptives, other fertility regulation methods and other special services e.g. Urine Pregnancy Test, promoting Breast Examination (for early detection of Breast Lumps), Treatment of Minor Gynaecological Ailments, Cervical Cancer Screening through PAP Smear Tests, Blood Tests, Immunization, Male Health clinic cum Andrology and Youth Sexual Reproductive Health Care services.2. Advocacy Role
The Association will play a leading role in collaboration with other agencies for the promotion of Information, Education and Communication, relating to Family Planning, Family Development concepts, Family Health issues, Population Education components and Sexual Reproductive Health Care, particularly for the benefit of adolescents, youth, men and women. Special emphasis is focused on the health benefits of family planning and birth-spacing.One of NSFPA’s policies is to Advocate Volunteerism amongst its members. This concept is promoted through holding frequent orientation courses and talks to its members and also to the general public in order to increase membership. Through advocating voluntary services amongst its members, NSFPA is able to have a pool of active volunteers over the last 40 years to help in its various projects thus saving in labour costs.

To improve the status of sexual and reproductive health in Malaysia within a strong and resilient family system.Our Goals and Strategies:
Our three goals and corresponding strategies focus on Advocacy, Programme management and Governance and management to address the ten strategic challenges/issues. These challenges relate to reproductive rights and sexual and reproductive health for women, men and young people with focus on family planning, safe motherhood, HIV/AIDS, empowerment of young people on SRH, gender equity and equality, male responsibility and participation, sustainable development and strengthening of our organizational structure.To attain our goals and strategies we have identified fourteen operational objectives. The operational objectives that support Advocacy mainly relate to the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights for women, men and young people, the empowerment of women to be in control of their lives, men's commitment and responsibilities and sustainable development and environment initiatives.
Today FFPAM, with its Secretariat at Subang Jaya, Selangor is the leading non-government organization (NGO) in the area of population, family planning and sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Through our wide network and in partnership with like-minded government agencies and civil society organizations, we provide accessible, affordable and quality reproductive health care and services to women, men and young people.
