Imago [Ee-mah-go] Means " to image" in Latin. As in "imagine the world if people acted as if the Earth and its inhabitants were sacred".



Imago is a nonprofit ecological organization that creates tangible ways to live in harmony with the Earth. Our educational programs focus on:



* Preserving greenspace

* Creating ecological urban environments

* Providing educational experiences that expand our awareness of interconnectedness

* Facilitating community-building activities

* Rejoicing through Earth-centered celebrations



Currently Imago has two main program areas designed to fulfill its mission. The Imago Earth Center is a 16 acre nature preserve located 5 minutes from downtown Cincinnati. The Earth Center provides programs for school and scout groups, as well as hiking and nature exploration opportunities to the general public. Imago`s other program, Earth and Spirit focuses its energies on educating adults. In particular, educating adults about the instinctual connection that we all have with the natural world. The Earth and Spirit program offers workshops, a discussion course, and regular conferences.
