The objectives of AMMA are as follows:

to bring in and liaise with all Malayalee organisations in Malaysia without exercising controls over the internal affairs of the affiliated organisations

to uphold and reflect the ideals as enumerated in the "Rukun Negara"



to foster among members a sense of community service to fellow members



to promote and/or to provide facilities and or assistance to establish schools, libraries, hospitals, art/sports groups and other cultural institutions as may be allowed under any written law



to promote national unity and maintain goodwill among Malaysians irrespective of their racial, religious or communal identity



to promote cultural, social, educational, physical, recreational activities of the members and to organise, sponsor and/or setting up of funds or foundations as may be deemed necessary for these purposes. Such funds or foundations shall not be established unless the rules governing these are approved by the Registrar.



To do such lawful things as may be deemed incidental and conducive to the attainment of the objects
