The Women Parliament of Slovakia

Mission

The Women Parliament of the Slovakia is a voluntary organisation with legal personality which independently from political affiliation, nationality, age, race and profession unites through programmes the women in order to integrate them into decision-making processes within equality of gender. It actively monitors, follows, records, documents and proposes suggestions or ways how to solve the problems of women, children and families on the territory of the Slovak Republic.

- It was created for the support of the equality between men and women, to respect the human rights in regard to women issues and fulfilment of resolutions of the UN, resolutions of the Council of Europe and generally valid legal provisions and rules in the Slovak Republic.

- It was created as a non-political, voluntary and independent institution of women with the view of protecting, following and ensuring of legitimate requests and interests of women at different level in society as well as ensuring of dignified position of women as an equal, equivalent partners in the most diverse relations in our society.

- Through the direct activities, the creation of programmes linkage of women from organisations, foundations, associations, personalities of different religions, nationality, race, age, etc. it helps the women to integrate themselves into the decision-making processes of the society.

- It is an official, independent, non-governmental floor, representative and opinion-creating representative of the women of Slovakia at national and international levels.
