The Southeastern Massachusetts Chapter of the AMC (SEM), founded in 1976, draws its members from a geographical area south of Boston including Cape Cod and the islands. Currently the chapter has over 3,500 members with about 930 family memberships and 2,474 individual memberships. During January - September 2005, 575 new members joined the chapter.



The chapter publishes a quarterly newsletter, the "Southeastern Breeze", which lists many activities such as hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, trail work, and other special programs. Also, SEM-AMC Chapter members may freely participate in activities associated with other AMC Chapters.



AMC Southeastern Massachusetts Chapter’s current range of member activities include hiking,

biking, paddling, skiing, conservation, trail work, and educational activities.
