WCVA is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales. We represent and campaign for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities.

WCVA Europe provides advice, guidance and support to the voluntary sector on all aspects of European funding and policy. Currently WCVA Europe is heavily involved in the Structural funds programmes in Wales.

It Assists the voluntary sector’s participation in Objective 1 through a range of information, advice and training. This service is called the Voluntary Sector Support Unit Administers the Social Risk Fund, a small grants scheme aimed at small groups with good project ideas through a simplified and speedy application process and a team of specialised funding advisors. Represents the sector at a regional and national level and provides the secretariat for the Community Economic Regeneration Regional Partnership.

Helps resource the building of capacity of the local voluntary sector through regional consortia of County Voluntary Councils.
