Common Sense's mission is environmental education. Beginning in 1989 as an organization to promote convenient drop-off recycling in Memphis, Common Sense's focus has shifted to energy conservation, as an endorser of the EPA's "Green Lights" Program. It serves as a networking group and information exchange on environmental matters.
