About [Edit]
The National Wild Turkey Federation is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of the North American hunting tradition. When the NWTF was founded in 1973, there were an estimated 1.3 million wild turkeys and 1.5 million turkey hunters. Today, there are an estimated 5.6 million wild turkeys and 2.6 million turkey hunters, thanks to the efforts of state, provincial and federal wildlife agencies, NWTF volunteers and hunters across North America.
