About [Edit]
Mission
Fundación Pachamama is committed to the indigenous Amazonian peoples in their processes of self-determination,
with an emphasis on the defense of their territories and their ways of life.
Values that support our work.
To carry out its mission, Fundación Pachamama believes in:
Principles of support for the indigenous peoples. In defining our work with indigenous
peoples, we believe in and adopt the following principles: the self-determination and
autonomy of indigenous peoples and the exercise of their collective rights, their territorial
rights (their right to possess, control, and manage their ancestral territories and their
natural resources), their own models of development (their right to establish priorities and strategies for their autonomous development and their own methods of land use), and their intellectual property rights. Additionally, Fundación Pachamama promotes the values of intercultural exchange and respect for the ancestral knowledge of these people.
