Our Mission and Programs

The mission of the Alliance is to bring about personal, organizational & planetary sustainability through support of projects that are ecologically sound, economically viable, socially just and humane. The Alliance for Sustainability is a Minnesota-based, tax-deductible nonprofit supporting model sustainability projects on the local, national and international levels. The Alliance accomplishes its work by bringing together diverse businesses, government agencies, academic institutions, religious organizations, nonprofits, community groups and individuals in support of sustainability.

The Alliance accomplishes its work by bringing together businesses, government agencies, academic institutions, religious organizations, nonprofits, community groups and individuals in support of sustainability. It has helped promote sustainability education and training throughthe Natural Step Framework and has developed partnerships and projects witha wide range of groups. The Alliance has a monthly e-newsletter Manna, numerous publicationsand a resource center that is open to the public.
