About [Edit]
The South Florida Environmental Art Project, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to catalyzing the development of South Florida as a center for Ecoart. Ecoart is a practice that combines art with engineering, science and community engagement toward addressing major environmental issues. SFEAP, Inc. (see www.sfeap.org) works toward a large and high profile ecoart community in our region through development of ecoart education programs for the public and apprenticeship programs that assist South Florida resident professional artists to experience ecoart as a new creative direction, under the tutelage of outstanding, highly experienced ecoartists. The first SFEAP, Inc. apprenticeship will begin in Martin County, Florida in January 2010 through December 2010. The mentor artist for this first apprenticeship will be the renowned ecoartist Betsy Damon (see her website at www.keepersofthewaters.org). SFEAP, Inc. will establish apprenticeships in each of South Florida's 5 watersheds by 2015.
