About [Edit]
Unitarian Unversalist Ministry for Earth is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association. Our purpose is to facilitate and support the work of Unitarian Universalists by affirming and promoting the seven principles of the UUA, including the seventh: "Respect for the interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part". We focus upon the theological, spiritual, and ethical implications of human behaviors and activities that affect the health and sustainability of living Earth.
Creators of the Green Sanctuary Certification Program, now managed by the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (www.uua.org) we assist congregations in building awareness of environmental issues; encouraging personal lifestyle changes; motivating community action for environmental healing; connecting spiritual practice to environmental consciousness; and working to address environmental injustice.
