About  [Edit]

The Conservancy`s mission is to conserve and enhance the natural beauty and environmental health of the Mountain Meadows watershed; protect its significant Mountain Maidu burial and cultural sites; and provide recreation and public access for generations to come

The claim that the road was on Forest Lands was thrown out; the road remains under county authority. Judge Levi did request that the Forest Service revisit the conflict between skiers and snowmobiles. At this time we are deciding whether or not to appeal this judgment.

We seek to achieve lasting protection for the Mountain Meadows Basin through voluntary land acquisitions, easements, and other land management agreements to ensure that the entire Basin will be preserved for the enjoyment of all who live and visit here, now and in the future

The watershed also contains habitats ideally suited for the rarely seen Pine Marten
