The International Association for Humans Values (IAHV) is a non-profit, UN chartered NGO founded in 1997, in Geneva Switzerland. Its purpose is to foster on a global scale a deeper understanding of those values that unite us as a human community. IAHV maintains that the incorporation of human values into all aspects of life will ultimately lead to the development of a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.



IAHV develops and promotes programs of personal development to encourage the practice of human values in everyday life. It also has programs of community education that foster greater awareness of the shared values among the diverse cultures.



Through these worldwide programs, IAHV cultivates and nurtures those timeless human values that are common to all cultures, such as:



* the innate dignity of human life compassion and nonviolence

* the importance of integrity and service to society

* interconnection between humankind and the environment

* the individual and collective quest for peace and happiness
