Students Partnership Worldwide (SPW) demonstrates and promotes a youth-led approach to development, implementing internationally recognised health education and livelihoods programmes across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. SPW has doubled in size over the past three years and is on course to continue both expansion and development of quality in line with the SPW Global Strategic Framework.
SPW Tanzania operates in Iringa and Mbeya regions as well as in Dar Es Salaam, working with the Tanzanian governmental Action Team on HIV/AIDS to develop a programme which engages young people and provides communities with vital awareness about sexual health issues. SPW Tanzania has recently secured multi-year strategic grants from major partners, including DFID and SIDA, to expand the programmes to include integrated livelihoods and gender components, and expand geographically into new regions.
SPW Tanzania is looking for a technical assistant to update the Fundraising and Partnerships Strategy, supporting Fundraising and Partnerships staff with maintaining these new relationships and in working towards securing further strategic partnerships, in line with SPW Tanzania’s national strategic framework and expansion plans. An important element of the role will also be capacity development of staff on donor communication and management, to build an effective Fundraising and Partnerships unit.
SPW is looking for an ambitious fundraising and partnerships technical assistant with relevant professional experience and a passion for SPW’s mission, to take on a short term placement of approximately six months to help lead these exciting transitions.
