JOB SUMMARY:
The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for the management, growth
and productivity of the Global Fund's comprehensive direct mail
fundraising and donor acknowledgment programs. This includes
oversight of more than 18,000 core donors giving up to $10,000
annually, as well as a "stretch giving" club and a rapidly growing
monthly donor program. The Annual Giving program contributes over
$2 million to the organization's total revenues annually. The Annual
Giving Manager supervises two Development Associates. S/he reports to
the Vice President of Development.
The starting date for this position is July 2008. The Annual Giving
Manager is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $60,000-
75,000.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
-- Strong knowledge of direct mail production is essential.
-- Commitment to international women's issues and experience in
fundraising, philanthropy and donor education.
-- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use good judgment
and make independent decisions.
-- Ability to provide inspiring and supportive leadership to a
growing Annual Giving team.
-- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact
with people from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures.
-- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate
multiple projects with clear deadlines. Strict attention to detail,
strong verbal and written communication skills.
-- Macintosh computer skills, including Word, Excel, Mail, as well
as File Maker Pro.
-- Willingness to travel (when necessary) and work occasional
evenings and weekends during Global Fund events.
