About
A total of three(3) positions exists for people interested in the arts/youth/ and community development assignment. Ideally, you are expected to work with a team to develop programs that allow Belizean young people to engage in activities to voice their opinions and concerns, develop leadership and communication skills and raise community awareness on the value of youth contribution to our society.
Although this job is voluntary, the owner of The Connect Center will provide the prospective Program Managers with a fully equipped office, basic work-related amenities and community orientation to support the development and implementation of their programs described in the areas of focus above.
Each Program Manager is responsible for his/her travel to Belize including accommodation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with youth
- Proven Capacity to develop and implement training programs
- Capacity to provide art education to beginners
- Knowledge of and capacity to conduct participatory and experiential training
- Experience in media/journalism/use of the internet for mass communication
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural society
Prerequisites for consideration:
1. Submission of CV
2. Copy of a police record
3. Minimum of 2 months availability
4. A draft proposal in response to any of the focus groups identified above.
