About

Do you want to be-the-change?  Do you want to find a little bit of Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. or Aung San Suu Kyi within you this summer?  Do you want to empower yourself, roll up your sleeves, and do something about the suffering in our world?

If so, we're looking for you.  Metta Mentors is looking to give away 10 scholarships for a 10-week mentorship this summer, to inspired changemakers who want to make this world a better place.

Think of it this way: your food, housing and transporation costs will be taken care of by your stipend; you'll then be paired up with a local social change organization, assigned a mentor, and given a social-change context to practice "being the change you wish to see."  You work with your mentor for four days of the week, and spend one day of the week in collective reflection and learning with other Metta Mentors.  It will be powerful and transformative.

(Note: the priority deadline is coming real soon -- March 22nd!)

This 2009 summer, tap into a movement of inspiring activists, organizations, and people working towards sustainable social change!
