WiserEarth , a project of the Natural Capital Institute, is seeking for a Social Media Intern to join our WiserEarth team based in Sausalito, California. 

WiserEarth is a community networking forum for civil society, the private sector, and government to collaborate, define, address, and solve social and environmental problems. We have been actively using social media since the beginning of the year.

Activities:
•    Monitor postings and interactions on social media platforms;
•    Monitor WiserEarth branding image on the web using RSS tools
•    Comment and contribute to the growth of our current social media tools used (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, blog,)
•    Measure and enhance the impact of our online social media strategy
•    Help us design and launch an Online Campaign for the Fall

Skills and Experience:
•    Research experience, excellent computer skills, eye for detail, self-motivated 
•    Ability to make connections in online settings
•    Experience in social media and/or blogging
•    A passion for and an understanding of how to leverage Web 2.0 tools for social change
•    Experience and an interest in social justice and/or environmental sustainability

Hours and Compensation:
•    Full-time Internship: Four-month commitment of 4 days/week, 8:30-5 PST, 30 hours minimum.

This position includes a monthly stipend of $500, with travel costs reimbursed.
