Sustainable Food System Advocate / Sales Position, High-Growth Truly Sustainable Business
San Francisco, CA 
 
Are you interested in making a serious contribution to our people and our planet by
creating a secure, equitable and regenerative food system?

MyFarm is a decentralized urban farm. We grow vegetables in backyard gardens
throughout San Francisco for our farm owners and nearby hungry neighbors. By working
with nature we are increasing local food production while creating a secure and
regenerative food system. Using organic practices we strive to grow the best tasting most
nutritious vegetables. 
 
Your job is generating qualified leads for MyFarm by setting up and conducting a direct-
to-consumer marketing campaigns which enlist the support of our current members, our
progressive community and our green government.
 
Examples include:
• Outside sales (approx 65%): Neighborhood Canvassing, 
• Inside sales (approx 35%): Follow-up calls from your home office, following all
website leads.
• Conducting urban agriculture presentations and arranging logistics for the events 
• Leverage relationships to get introduced to more organizations for more
presentations 
• Networking with community and business organizations to have them host our
presentations 
• Following up with attendees to sign them up for their own MyFarm, Weekly
Organic Vegetable subscription or volunteering opportunity
 
 
Qualifications: 
We are looking for a consummate networker who is motivated to spread the word about
regenerative agriculture and its role in creating a healthy planet. Candidates will value
flexibility in that the role’s hours are flexible and the compensation is highly variable
with success. Other requirements: 
• Extensive consumer-facing experience, minimum of 6 months – 1 year previous
sales / marketing experience. 
• Thrives in an autonomous, proactive working environment and is able to make
decisions independently 
• Excellent presentation skills 
 
 
Compensation Structure: 
You will earn a percentage of sales generated. Commission will be agreed upon prior to
formal job acceptance with periodic adjustments and will be determined via these six
main compensation criteria: 
 
• Past sales experience 
• External and internal economic conditions 
• Proven track record/results
