About
PEPY is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Marketing and PR intern
available now for a period of 6 months to join us in our Phnom Penh
office.
The PEPY Ride increases access to education in Cambodia through support for two rural PEPY Schools, a Bike-to-School Program providing bicycles to students in rural areas, and the Road-to-Literacy initiative promoting Khmer literacy. To support these programs, PEPY works with a variety of educational, environmental, and health organizations across the country.
PEPY Tours is a social venture offering responsible adventurous and educational trips while providing long term support to development programs. The income and fundraising generated through PEPY Tours funds our non-profit organization, The PEPY Ride, as well as a number of development programs by local grassroots organizations.
PEPY’s Marketing and PR person is primarily responsible for managing information about PEPY that reaches our participants, supporters, and the general public.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing our monthly PEPY newsletter. Write and edit articles, compose the newsletter, and gather photos, sponsor information, and links each month
•Manage all press coverage that reaches the public (website updates, etc.)
•Seek and maintain communication with publications and journalists interested in PEPY-related topics (our programs and tours)
•Write and edit press releases as needed
•Monitor web and online presence. Maintain media outlets containing PEPY profiles and listings
•Write and post blogs for internal and external audiences
•Monitor Cambodian current events, and file relevant news articles’ hard copies
•Maintain information packet about Cambodia used by Tour Leaders
The intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of PEPY and will gain first-hand experience working with local NGOs in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. To learn about what PEPY does in Cambodia, please see http://www.pepyride.org for more information.
This is an unpaid internship, but shared housing will be provided. PEPY will arrange and pay for the cost of the visa but not the travel arrangements. The intern should plan to cover their own personal expenses during the internship.
If you want to make a difference in the lives of children in rural Cambodia and gain invaluable experience from working in a small and dynamic NGO, we want to hear from you!
