About
Goal:
Help create and implement Ashoka’s marketing strategy and vision to promote Ashoka, Ashoka Fellows and the field of social entrepreneurship.
Description:
- Interact with 30+ country directors to deliver marketing information generated in Washington DC to help coordinate and unify Ashoka marketing efforts globally
- Provide relevant and timely information to media and other partners upon request; with special focus on writing Fellow stories and descriptions
- Maintain and expand current web-based marketing tools and resources, such as the Video and Press Rooms, and explore other new media opportunities
- Capture press articles, pictures and videos from each country, and track all press coverage and media contacts worldwide in centralized database
- Research trends in the citizen sector and the social enterprise movement, and devise new and creative methods and projects to expand knowledge of Ashoka and its work worldwide.
Qualifications:
- Entrepreneur — self-starter, highly motivated and creative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management experience
- Previous experience working in communications, new media, marketing, or graphic design a plus
- An innovator for the public — demonstrable interest in social issues and working for solutions
- Undergraduate student
