This directory is organized into over 400 different areas of focus: climate change, poverty, peace, water, hunger, social justice, conservation, human rights, and more. Content is created by people like you from around the world.

Regional Outreach Intern

We are seeking an organized, positive, self-motivated person with experience building networks and partnerships to assist us in spreading the word about WiserEarth. This position requires the skills and flexibility to research regional and topic-specific content, to help build and expand WiserEarth's knowledge base and community. (Please specify if you are applying for Asia, Africa, Europe or Latin America)

Skills & Qualities Required:
- Communications or media/marketing background
- Experience conducting grassroots outreach campaigns, as outreach is targeted within a specific geographic region (Europe, Africa, Asia, Central/South America)
- Research experience, excellent computer skills, eye for detail, self motivated
- Ability to succeed in both a team setting as well as individually, especially if telecommuting
- Flexibility to pick up projects and tasks on an ad-hoc basis
- Passionate about affecting positive change
- Outgoing, energetic, friendly personality
- Language skills a plus (relevant to region)

Student Outreach Intern

We are seeking an organized, positive, self-motivated person with experience building networks and student partnerships to assist us in spreading the word about WiserEarth.  The purpose of this role is to generate use of WiserEarth by the student community, both nationally and internationally. First, we intend to inform students about WiserEarth and then encourage them to present WE to their own communities.

Skills & Qualities Required:
- Communications or media/marketing background
- Experience conducting grassroots outreach campaigns, especially in a university setting
- Research experience, excellent computer skills, eye for detail, self motivated
- Ability to succeed in both a team setting as well as individually, especially if telecommuting
- Flexibility to pick up projects and tasks on an ad-hoc basis
- Passionate about affecting positive change
- Outgoing, energetic, friendly personality

Hours and Compensation:

Full-time Internship: Three month commitment of 4 days/week, 8:30-5 PST, 30 hours minimum. This position includes a monthly stipend of $500, with travel costs reimbursed.
Part-time Internship: Three month commitment of 2 days/week, 8:30-5 PST. This position is currently unpaid with travel costs reimbursed.

Position is located in Sausalito, CA, with the option to telecommute from other parts of the US or worldwide.
