About

I am seeking like-minded people who would be interested in helping develop a permaculture based retreat/recreation center on our property in the columbia river gorge about an hour outside portland.

We have the wind and little wind rivers running thru the 100 acres. There is some potential for hydro power, some cleared land on bpa and pipeline easements but mostly large doug fir and alder and maple.

There's an existing lodge structure built with wood from our mill and a pole barn and my residence and that's about it.

We are zoned commercial recreation since we adjoin natural hot springs on the wind river and thousands of acres of national forest land (access to which we control with a locked gate.

Dan I'm very interested in meeting you and discussing your project. I am currently in Canada for the winter, but will be in Portland Feb 29th - March 5th and would love to connect.

Dan,
This sounds like a neat project you are working on and a beautiful area for it. I'm out in the gorge a lot working on a "green" house just outside of White Salmon near Northwestern lake. I love the area out there and hope to move from Portland in a couple of years.

I'll keep an eye on your page and look forward to seeing your progress. Do you have any pictures of the current structures or surrounding area that you can post to this page?

Mike
