NCI seeks an energetic, knowledgeable, and creative individual to join us in these efforts -- help ensure financial success for WiserEarth, as well as lay the groundwork for future endeavors.

Responsibilities
•    Design and manage all fundraising activities for NCI, and its key project WiserEarth
      o    Develop annual fundraising plan and goals
      o    Monitor and evaluate all fundraising activities against these goals
•    Identify prospective (and cultivate existing) donors — foundations, individuals, and partner organizations
•    Help design creative and lucrative online fundraising strategies
•    Help develop joint fundraising strategies with strategic partners
•    Represent NCI/WiserEarth to current and prospective donors at select conferences and events
•    Maintain records of granted funds and grant deliverables
•    Produce fundraising materials, including solicitation and acknowledgement letters, appeals, and proposals
•    Provide grant reports and other periodic updates on how funds are used to donors, ED, and board
•    Participate in annual budgeting process
•    Utilize and maintain NCI Salesforce contact database to support development efforts


General Attributes and Skills
•    Strong knowledge of (and connections within) environmental and social justice funding communities
•    Strong grant writing, editing, and communication skills
•    Skilled in cultivating relationships, from individual donors to large-scale foundations
•    Deep interest in the WiserEarth project: Committed to the issues of environmental restoration and social justice
•    Creative and flexible / able to respond fluidly to changing priorities
•    Organized / detail-oriented
•    Sense of humor / upbeat and self-assured
•    Local / within daily commute range to Sausalito
•    Good fit with unique office culture on Gate Five Road
•    Fluent in Mac office applications and Salesforce database

Job Terms / Compensation
•    Reports to Co-Director / WiserEarth Director Peggy Duvette; works closely with CFO Kelly Costa
•    Full time, salaried exempt employee, plus reimbursement for approved expenses
•    Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience
•    PTO: (20) 8-hr workdays per year, in addition to (10) paid company-wide holidays
•    HealthNet insurance or equivalent contribution to HSA with compatible coverage
