Air Quality Consultant - Gas, Wind & Biomass – Power Sector

 

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join a company that is expanding rapidly in power and renewable energy and are committed to growing its environmental practice to become a leading player in this industry.

 

The successful Air Quality Consultant will help support a growing team of 15 environmental professionals which has a focus on the power sector with projects principally in gas, wind and biomass.

 

The role is to undertake air quality assessments, including atmospheric dispersion modeling.

Successful applicants will have a background in air quality and be expected to:

Manage and undertake air quality assessments for thermal power projects;
Play a significant role in the development of the practice;
Developing beneficial relationships with clients, contractors and team members;
Help develop companies position as a ¡¥thought leader¡¦ for specific issues.

 

Essential Experience

Appropriate experience in air quality assessment. Experience in the power sector is highly desired;
Appropriate knowledge of potential emissions and abatement techniques;
Appropriate professional qualifications plus evidence of self-motivated continuing professional development;
Excellent project management skills;
Competence with air dispersion models, primarily ADMS or AERMOD;
Competence with Microsoft packages and ability to utilise other project related software;
Report writing skills;
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Expertise in the use of GIS packages would be an advantage.
