About

10) /  / New York, NY,
USA / Closing date: June 20, 2008.

BACKGROUND:

UNIFEM's current and expanding cost-sharing programmes require that
the Outreach and Business Development Team (OBDT) have additional
capacity to meet UNIFEM's reporting needs. The Strategic Plan for
UNIFEM for the period of 2008-2011 requires that UNIFEM enhance its
capacity to meet demand and seize opportunities. The significant rise
in UNIFEM's cost-sharing agreements has a direct impact on the volume
of donor reports required and the processes surrounding donor
relations.

Within OBDT, the Donor Relations and Reporting Associate helps to
strengthen capacity at HQ by ensuring that the reporting obligations
are tracked, shared, adhered to and monitored, in order to support
UNIFEM's outreach and business development strategies.

In the context of UNIFEM decentralization, and given the
interrelationship of OBDT's functional responsibilities, the
Associate is responsible for constant and direct interaction and
information-sharing among the OBDT donor reporting team and other
UNIFEM staff members involved in donor reporting. Through provision
of specialized expertise and systems, the Associate supports the
strategies, approaches, services, and advice provided by the Resource
Mobilization, and Communications and Advocacy teams.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Donor Reporting Specialist and the Public Affairs
Specialist, the Donor Relations and Reporting Associate will assist
in the production of quality, timely donor reports for approval and
submission to donor, while contributing to the strengthening donor
relations as well as the organization's overall resource mobilization
effort.

This work is to support the Donor Reporting Specialist with achieving
key deliverables. It is critical in the areas of donor maintenance
and donor relations. This will support the Outreach and Business
Development Adviser and the Resource Mobilization team as a whole, as
it helps to strengthen collaboration with existing and new partners
(bi-lateral and multilateral donors; NGOs, etc.).

Specifically, the Donor Relations and Reporting Associate will
address the following areas, in the context of the shared OBDT
electronic resource mobilization information system, in order to
ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate delivery of services meeting
client satisfaction and consistent with UNIFEM/OBDT plans,
objectives, rules, regulations and allocations:

-- Maintenance of Donor Report Tracking Matrices;
-- Donor Reporting Process;
-- Donor Relations;

RESULTS:

-- Effective and efficient business processes supporting the work
of OBDT in close coordination with Operations Section and other
