POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Associate Director of The NonprofitCenters Network (NCN), the Membership & Marketing Coordinator provides coordination and support to help grow a cross-sector learning community of nonprofit and philanthropic leaders, real estate and finance industry professionals, and public officials promoting shared nonprofit workspace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Membership
- In collaboration with the Associate Director, develops and implements effective marketing and acquisition strategy to increase NCN’s membership.
- Develops and implements a successful membership retention strategy.
- Responds to inquiries via phone, email and mail; establishes the initial rapport with current and potential members, and performs preliminary screening for NCN support and services.
- Oversees delivery of current member benefits and develops new member benefits with other staff.
- Oversees production and dissemination of all membership materials, including correspondences, prospect mailings, special appeals, and list exchanges.
- Coordinates and processes membership applications, renewals, and expirations in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains orientation packets for new members.
Event Management
· Assists in the planning and marketing for NCN-sponsored events and conferences.
· Manages logistics for NCN-sponsored events and conferences.
· Coordinates NCN’s exhibits and presentations for conferences and events.
Publications
- Develops, writes, and produces communication vehicles directed to members and the general public (i.e., newsletter, website, etc.)
- Manages production of new resource publications, including fact sheets, guide books, and other resources.
Database Management
- Maintains and updates a highly accurate contact database, including creating new member records, updating existing records, and deleting duplicates.
- Collaborates with Information Technology staff on database management.
- Produces membership statistical reports, including reports on progress of meeting recruitment and retention goals.
Team Support
- Participates in the Tides Shared Spaces team to support the team’s overall goals.
- Other duties as assigned.

· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Advanced MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of real estate a plus.
· Adaptability: enjoys the challenges of a changing environment and diverse client requirements.
· Willingness to accept and take on new challenges for professional growth.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent of experience and education required.
· A minimum of 2 years post-college work experience, preferably in a membership capacity for an association or nonprofit organization.
· Experience working with database systems, Salesforce experiences a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee frequently sits, and occasionally stands, walks, talks/listens, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls, and reaches with hands and arms. The employee occasionally lifts up to 10 lbs. Close and distance vision is required.
