Oxfam Novib is looking for a Programme Manager Gender Justice interested in
working on a just world, without poverty.

Programme Manager Gender Justice
32-36 hours per week
located in The Hague

Oxfam Novib is affiliated to Oxfam International, a global coalition of 13
Oxfams. The collaboration between the different Oxfams will focus in
particular on four change goals in the coming years: Economic Justice,
Access to Essential Services, Rights in Crisis, and Gender Justice. These
goals formed the basis of developing four programmes to which every Oxfam
contributes. The Gender Justice programme has the goal to fight for equal
rights for women, and has several components, such as programmes aimed at
preventing violence against women, the promotion of women's
self-organisations and female leadership.

Inside Oxfam Novib different departments and teams contribute their
experience to these programmes (regional bureaux, popular campaigning,
advocacy and lobby, communication, etc.). The goal of the position
Programme Manager Gender Justice is to co-ordinate contents and
functionally Oxfam Novib's contribution to the change goal Gender Justice,
and to supervise the realisation of Oxfam Novib's share in the change goal
Gender Justice.

THE POSITION
-You fulfil a vanguard role in all projects and campaigns in the area of
Gender Justice and ensure that agreements reached inside Oxfam Novib and
Oxfam International are complied with and that the goals set are realised;
-You monitor the co-ordination and co-operation between involved
departments inside Oxfam Novib and Oxfam International;
-You set up a project team, co-ordinate the activities, and ensure a
maximum coherence in substance and good co-ordination of processes;
-You make a project planning, monitor progress and the quality level of the
agreed activities, and signal problems and opportunities;
-You have a vanguard role in developing vision and strategy, involve
relevant parties and advise the directors;
-You represent Oxfam Novib during meetings of Oxfam International and in
other relevant (international) advisory bodies, maintain (international)
networks and take, if needed, part in (international) working groups;
-You are responsible for the monitoring and reporting on operations in
terms of substance and process, and on concrete results.

YOUR PROFILE
-You have concluded a relevant academic education;
-You have a minimum of five years of relevant knowledge and experience in
the field of Gender Justice in an international organisation;
-You have broad experiences in leading projects in multidisciplinary teams
and in complex forms of co-operation;
-You have experience in developing and implementing strategies, monitoring
progress and monitoring results;
-You are able to maintain an international network and use your personality
to communicate and enthuse and bind people in a convincing manner.
