The Northwest Service Academy Environmental Intern program is an opportunity to engage in national service (AmeriCorps) while gaining professional experience in the fields of natural resources management, environmental education and public outreach.

·              Educating the public on important environmental issues

·              Managing restoration, conservation and education projects

·              Mt. Hood National ForestCommunity Stewards.

·              Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife – Wildlife Education and Outreach Coordinator and Citizen Science Project Assistant.

·              Cascade Land Conservancy – Green Cities Project Associate, Steward Program Associate and Outreach Coordinator.

·              National Forest Foundation – Friends of the Forest Day Program Coordinator.

·              Columbia Riverkeeper – Water Quality Coordinator.

·              Hood River Soil and Water Conservation District – Hood River Watershed Group Assistant.

·              Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust – Volunteer Program Outreach Associate.

·              Snohomish Conservations District – Habitat Restoration Intern.

·              Underwood Conservation District – Underwood Conservation District Intern.

·              Friends of the Columbia Gorge – Stewardship Coordinator.

·              Stewardship Partners – Stewardship Partners Program Assistant.

 

Intern Benefits:
