About
DESCRIPTION:
The Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW) is a
leading regional NGO that works for the advancement of women's health
and rights, particularly in the area of sexual and reproductive
health. We are searching for a Programme Officer (PO) for our Women's
Health and Rights Advocacy Partnership (WHRAP)-China project.
The PO will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will be
responsible for the day-to-day operation of the project which
includes:
-- Project and partnership coordination and support, including on
research
-- Planning, implementation and monitoring of regional project
activities
-- Development and implementation of systems, processes and
guidelines
-- Monitoring of project and activities
-- Preparation of project and activity reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
-- Have a good command of oral and written Mandarin and English
-- Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in research,
project coordination, implementation and monitoring
-- Have a strong commitment to women's rights
-- Be familiar with women's and SRHR issues as well as with
China's socio-political context.
-- Be willing to be expatriated to Malaysia
-- Be able to commit at least 2 years to both the organization and
the project
-- Have an effective working style and ability to work both
independently or within a team
-- Be able to travel extensively.
