About
VIVA AMAZONÌA AUSTRIA is an association in the NGO-area and part of the European platform Viva Amazonia, with the objective to inform about the violation of human rights and environmental law by national, international and transnational actors in the Amazon. We want to contribute to a open discussion about raw materials and climate change, as well as the continuing disappearance of indigenous culture and protected fauna and flora. The association rises its voice against abuses in the Amazon, organizes campaigns in the public sphere as well as lectures and supports the networking of actors in Europe and Latin America.
About us
The association started as a result of the intensive cooperation between the Ecuadorian organisation CORCKA and volunteers all over the world. Viva Amazonia Austria is located in Vienna and has contacts to other actors in Ecuador, France, Denmark, Switzerland and Canada. By enabling the contact between affected people in Latin America and people who are interested in the following topics. We aim to offer a wide range of information and to encourage an open and active discussion.
