The Heritage Institute

The Heritage Institute serves educators and community members to connect, communicate and co-create the world we want through progressive education programs. A listing of upcoming events, workshops, curriculum and networking opportunities will be available around environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fulfillment topics. Our program of continuing education for teachers offers workshops, conferences and natural history field studies in the Pacific Northwest, as well as distance courses to educators around the US and the world. An inspiring expression of our philosophy of "educating for humanity and the world we want" is found in Mike Seymour's book "Educating for Humanity" published by Paradigm Publishers, and featuring such notables as Thomas Berry, Fritjof Capra, Nel Noddings, Deborah Meier, Rachael Kessler, David Orr and Linda Lantieri.
