ADDING YOUR SUGGESTION

Step 1

Once you have joined this group, you can add a new suggestion by selecting Create a page in the  "Community Suggestions" list on the right

(Quick tip: you may want to do a quick search to see if your suggestion has already been made before adding your suggestion)

Step 2

Fill in your suggestion or idea on the blank page

Step 3

Leave your full name and hyperlinked user name at the bottom of the suggestion. e.g. "by John Doe (johndoe)"

Click "Add to your watchlist" in the Actions box to watch for comments, votes and edits to your suggestion.

Step 4

Click save to save your suggestion and it will be added to this group.

What should I write on this blank page?

Your suggestion should contain what your problem / issue and ideally what your solution or idea would be to solve this problem. You can also add any ideas as to how you can help implement the idea. 

If a number of people comment, think about coming back and  summarizing the discussion under your original posting. It will help move your suggestion along.

 EXPRESS YOUR SUPPORT FOR AN EXISTING SUGGESTION

Step 1

Add a COMMENT to the page, in the "Comment" box below the suggestion. For example: "Good idea, I like it" or other comments to improve/clarify the suggestion at hand.

Step 2

Before saving the comment, pick one, two, three, four or five starts as your vote for the suggestion.  Note:  We will begin to phase out voting with a "+1" in the subject field.

Since we started the Suggestion group on February 2008, 20% of all proposed suggestions have been implemented. Recently, WE has implemented the following Suggestions:

- Including for profit and public agencies on WiserEarth directory 08/15/08

- Automatically Adding relationships date

- Allow hyperlinks in group messages date

- Displaying events

- Ability to manage related groups

- Explanation for "send a friend request"
