The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) intend to begin spraying over our urban
city of SAN FRANCISCO in AUGUST of 2008. Low-flying planes will fly
back and forth over 'infested' areas, spraying pesticides over the
city. Pesticides will last for roughly 60 days - And they will re-spray
every month. We will be advised to stay indoors, to avoid a list of
symptoms related to the spray. CDFA plans to continue spraying each
month for up to 3 years or indefinitely until the moth is eradicated.
The campaign began in fall 2007 and used two pesticides that have a
synthetic moth pheromone as the active ingredient along with a host of
other toxic ingredients.
Thousands of California residents are being sprayed with potentially
harmful and partially undisclosed chemicals.
