About
This is a platform for all those who have been introduced to Permaculture and are graduates of A Permaculture Design Course ![]() |
As Permaculturlists, we are many and are apart of many list serves and email lists, courses and workshops. Our hopes as a Permaculture Alliance is that this platform can be a central node to network and stay in touch with our works as they evolve.
The creation of this group comes out of the Open Permaculture web platform and the Bay Area Regional Permaculture Convergence: a network of SIx County Guilds (Sonoma, Marin, SF, East Bay, Santa Cruz, and Monterey). At the 4th annual convergence held in June of 2007 at Merritt College in Oakland a continued thread of discussion was in having some sort of web-based platform to connect the dots. For as number of Years we have used the open permaculture site, and for some reason, the community does not grow with it, thus information sits idle. We are hoping that this site serves this function, as the potential and capacity is huge.

The greater wiserearth site is full of resources and connections in relation to the Permaculture movement. We are already organized in watersheds and communites and our bredth is far and wide. Invite all the permies you know in joining this group so we can begin to harness the greater unifying power that we possess, network and build upon it!
We now have the local Bay Area Regional Guilds as a related group with each of these guilds as sub-group that is connected. We are working on building this and will have updated comments as the evolution continues. All input and ideas for the greater Permaculture Movement are welcome!
