San Francisco State University’s Talented Designers Showcase their lines at Terra Gallery Runway 2009: Metamorphosis
San Francisco, CA- Monday, April 6, 2009- From ducklings to budding swans, the Student Fashion Association (SFA) of San Francisco State University’s (SFSU) Apparel Design & Merchandising (ADM) program is grabbing the local spotlight.
In an effort to reach out to the larger industry beyond campus walls, the student organization has decided to host its annual fashion show, RUNWAY 2009 METAMORPHOSIS, off campus for the very first time. This unique and creative event should not be missed!
The Student Fashion Association, in collaboration with the Apparel Design and Merchandising students at SF State, proudly present Runway 2009: Metamorphosis. “As our first annual spring show off campus, SFA plans to deliver a lavish show!” Ashley Greene, SFA President.
The event will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 511 Harrison St. San Francisco, CA 94105. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the show will start promptly at 7pm.
A portion of the proceeds from Runway 2009: Metamorphosis will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul, “a nonprofit organization that provides direct assistance to anyone suffering or in need.”
Tickets for Runway 2009: Metamorphosis go on sale April 7th, 8th, and 9th. They can be purchased at San Francisco State University’s quad, located at 1600 Holloway, or RSVP with Linda Liang. Tickets are $20. You can also purchase tickets online brownpapertickets.com or call 1-800-838-3006. Last year, the show sold out so be sure to get your tickets early!
Don’t miss this chance to see great fashion and witness the transformations of SFSU students from swans to trailblazers in the industry.
