About
The objective of this group is to help get ideas, feedback, and resources for our business concpet. I would invite all who are interested in composting as a profitable business to give input and, if very inerested, become involved as we are actively looking for help to make this work.
We have formed a company Energy Collective and are actively speaking with compost carting and food service companies to learn how to best put the two of them together.
To realize this goal we think that it is not enough to focus on the ‘end of the pipe’ wastes and what to do with them; but one most focus on what is put into the pipeline in the first place. In placing greener products into the head of the flow, we have increased our ability to reclaim them as nutrient sources at the tail of the pipe.
The old saying goes > Garbage in, Garbage out.
We say > Nutrients in > Nutrients out
By replacing existing 'garbage' products with BioCompostable ones (i.e. plastic utensils, PET cups, paper napkins, garbage bags, etc.) and at the same time organizing the outflow of these nutrients to appropriate composting facilities; We will accomplish this.
As a company we feel that if we can provide both the products and the carting we can leverage the increased costs of the first against the savings of the second to create a cash positive AND planet positive situation for all.
