Mid and Lower Mountains Working Group
The Mid and Lower Mountains Working group meets monthly to design and implement permaculture in the Mid and Lower Mountains areas.
We have met in Faulconbridge for a site analysis and at Hazelbrook to learn about using levels and A-frames for site design. Our next working bee will be in Hazelbrook at Dan Davidson and Gloria's place on Sunday 5th July from 1pm - 4pm. Afternoon tea provided by the hosts.
Everyone for any group and their friends are welcome to attend any of these events. Please tell the hosts you intend to attend.
Click on Mid & Lower BM Group Working Bee (this hyperlink), read and then RSVP if interested.
Upper Blue Mountains Working Group
The Upper Mountains Working group meets for monthly working bees and also has more formal meetings when we need to discuss something that can't be dealt with by email.
There are five members in our Upper Mountains group at the moment - Suzanne, Lizzie, Pete, Sue and Pat. Other people living in the Upper Mountains are invited to join us as we work in each others' gardens and watch them evolve. If you live elsewhere in the Blue Mountains you are very welcome as a guest worker at any time, as long as you let the host know - so that they can cater for you. Email lizzieconnor@bigpond.com for more info.
Our last working bee was in Blackheath. Our next will be at Pat's place in Blackheath on Saturday 11th July from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Morning tea will be provided. Please contact the host if you are able to attend.
Bioregional Working Group - Food Security Project

The Network has just formed a working group focused on food security.
It aims to improve community awareness of the availability of locally-grown chemical-free food within the Greater Blue Mountains bioregion, and facilitate communication among existing gardeners and farmers and among the various groups working in this area, eg Blue Mountains Community Gardens, the BM Food Sustainability Group, BM Slow Food and Cittaslow Katoomba BM.
To find out more about our activities and plans read this. If you'd like to join our working party please email lizzieconnor@bigpond.com.
