About [Edit]
You care about the schools, merchants and non-profits that make up your community. Now, more than ever, the decisions that you make when you shop have a direct impact on the strength of the communities in which you live.
Boston Community Change recognizes those residents that are supporting local business, and empowers shoppers to recognize those community groups that are making a difference.
Boston Community Change provides magnetic identity cards to participating shoppers. When residents shop at participating businessess, a portion of each transaction is returned to the cardholder as a cash rebate, a portion is provided to the local Main Street organization and a portion is directed to a non-profit or school of the cardholder's choice, encouraging cardholders to Shop Locally and Share Locally.
Participating merchants become destinations for cardholders that recognize and want to support community business and non-profits. Merchants are also provided with a platform to administer powerful loyalty based incentives, and to learn about the shoppers that are driving their business.
According to Entrepreneur.com, approximately 45% of consumers spend more money at stores where they have loyalty cards, and according to Providian, every dollar spent marketing to an existing customer yields five times more than a dollar spent attracting a new customer.
Boston Community Change is changing our communities for the better by changing the way we shop, changing the way we do business, and changing the way we support the causes we care about.
Boston Main Streets is partnering with the Interra Project to create community loyalty and customer loyalty.
