| Easier, cheaper methods of establishing and managing trees and nitrogen-fixing multipurpose hedges are needed for sustainable land-use in Africa becuase of the usually depleted soils, very varying rain fall, and shortage of money, good dry season feed, and possibilities for reliable watering and transportation.
