About

The Big ONE is our movement representing a tectonic shift in our thinking about our sustainability.  The Big ONE 2008 project is designed by a collection of San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organizations and community members. The project peaks every year in June, (this year on June 21 & 22, 2008) as a two-day non-commercial free event in Golden Gate Park focusing on solutions-oriented community building and networking towards positive social change and sustainability. The event will have a Village of Engagement in Golden Gate Park, where non-profits, agencies and individuals from around the Bay Area will gather in large themed tents offering resources and solutions.  We discovered in our planning that there are over 7,500 organizations offering services in the Bay Area.  We welcome you all to engage in the BIG ONE!
