   What is 350.org?
350 is the most important number on the planet.

This number measures the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide (CO2)on our planet, measured in units of parts per million (ppm).  Leading scientists agree that if CO2 levels exceed 350ppm, it could lead to runaway climate change.
How do we get back on track to 350?
We need an international agreement to reduce carbon emissions fast. The United Nations is working on a treaty to be completed in December of 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark. But the current plans for the treaty are much too weak to get us back to safety - we need to convince our leaders to put a higher price on carbon so that we stop using so much.
How can we take action?
By taking part in creating an event to showcase your support for reducing our C02 levels below 350ppm.  Take a look at how people across the world have made their voices heard.
