Hi Deborah,
Have to say that Ning do have some stuff we don't, e.g. better integration between sub-groups and main group, better customization of appearance, and in some respect, better usability. Regardless, they are still built on the premise of individual networks, where WiserEarth is more a network of networks.
If there is a 'cheat sheet' or two, I would suggest you present Ning folks with something along these lines. Sometimes, people simply just never heard of WiserEarth!
We can improve the second page above to be more 'generic' and easier to follow, or perhaps, more tailored to people coming over from Ning.

Hi all,
In process of creating a 'cheat sheet' to make joining wiser easier for newcomers, specifically at this point for the Sustainable Mill Valley group..... a big part of this involves just telling them which AofF to select ... i know this is in the works, but with the launch of Carlos Santana's social network ning once again I feel the Wiser environment is so superior and we could definitely grow involvement here by pulling these nings into wiser.
Architects of A New Dawn is a project, born from the dream and vision of Carlos Santana, to create a new global network, driven by extraordinary music and powerful media content. It is designed to engage people of all walks of life to work together to create positive change in the global community where love can replace fear and where peace can replace conflict.
This is an invitation to join us and connect with other Architects literally from every part of the globe to find ways to effect change and transform our world together.
Let’s join together to make it happen now!
here we go again; here is the ning page for the community: http://architectsofanewdawn.ning.com/
So much, IMO, depends on the fluidity of the registration process.
Any ideas for including in our cheat sheet for now?
