The mass killing of human beings based on national, ethnic, racial, or religious identity is profoundly intolerable; we cannot remain silent in the face of genocide. We support efforts to intervene in genocidal conflicts, such as the Darfur genocide in Sudan an ...learn more

The Maka Si Tomni project within the borders of the U.S. offers a demonstration regarding creating the will to stop genocide. The Lakota People are the last 1st nation people refusing to settle with the U.S. and demanding the "Black Hills" of South Dakota. They have suffered from patriarchal for over 132 years, 97 years unable to practice their religion or language, and currently attempting to revitalize the language and culture. Pine Ridge Reservation is still treated like a hostile territory with no economic development. The Little Big Horn Victory Celebration is a spiritual event of the people, a spiritual horse ride, celebrating victory on Greasy Grass, Little Big Horn National Monument on June 25, 1876. A moment in history when western aggression was defeated by a 1st nation spiritual people.

The Order of Earth (OOE) is a non profit (spiritual order) formed in May 2002 and over the past 5 years has supported the Lakota People and especially long-distance spiritual sobriety rides: Little Big Horn, Crazy Horse, Big Foot (Wounded Knee). Maka Si Tomni is the only project currently and the OOE is committed to, assisting the Lakota People in bringing forth a thriving Lakota language & culture. The first event is the "Little Big Horn Victory Celebration" on June 25th 2008, Montana. A historic battle that represents a moment in history when the victim was the victor, and this June 25th celebration is not a political rally rather a spiritual demonstration of the Lakota / Northern Cheyenne and other 1st nations in declaring the truth. Maka Si Tomni intention is to support 500 horse riders (80% children, as well as elders, runners, walkers, singers and dancers) to participate. I plan to use the Wise Earth network and community as a long-term platform for organizing the event, getting immediate support, and facilitating long-term development of the Maka Si Tomni presence of language & culture in the world. The support of the outside world in this event is important because the young need to experience an embracing of who they really are, and they are gentle horseman capable of being great warriors in the world. Any help, suggestions, resources that you can help us with is greatly appreciated. I believe in this grass-root global civil society and offer that the Lakota People are a wonderful new development coming forth in Wiser Earth. Thank you for your assistance:
