Hi Filiz, welcome to WiserEarth!
Glad to know that you've created a group here and begun experimenting with it's features. Regarding your problem, perhaps it has something to do with the browser you are using. Can you tell us what browser, which version, and what operating system your are using? To my knowledge, WiserEarth is currently optimized for the opensource Firefox browser. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.13 on Windows XP SP2 at the moment without a glitch. Previously, using Opera 9.23 I experienced some problems when editing a wikipage, and I've heard others experiencing other glitches when using older versions of Safari browser. Hope this is not a bug. And by the way, you're referring to the "Admin Tools >> Customize Layout" feature, right? Bowo |

Hi Bowo! now that you are helping me, one more question :) I invited two friends to join the group, sent out invitations. One of them wrote that she couldnt figure out how to join. she is already a wiser earth member...what do we do? cheers!filiz |

Filiz, glad to hear your problem solved!
Regarding browser compatibility, it is a common issue for web developers to face difficulties in producing a complex site that is fully compatible across a wide variety and version of browsers (on different operating systems!). Even if you have the best developers and has lots of money to pay them, it is not uncommon that websites are displayed and behave differently among different browser. I'm not a staff of NCI (Natural Capital Insitute), the folks behind WiserEarth, but reading the about us page, you'll notice that WiserEarth does not display advertisements and get its funding only from donors /partners and users. They also run the site not for profit (compare this to myspace or facebook). Thus, though I'm aware that WiserEarth developers are trying to increase the compatibility of the site for different browser, under such circumstances, there seems to be a limitation in the speed of improvements. However, users like you and me reporting the problems/errors/bugs we encounter while using the site is a big help for the effort. Regarding how to join your group, ask the people you invite to first join WiserEarth from the homepage (if they haven't do so already), and then to go to the About tab of your group and click the "Join this group" button at the upper part of the page. Hi All,
We noticed the problem with editing group layouts and Internet Explorer 6 last week, and I was able to fix it in our development environment, so it should be fixed in our next release (hopefully in the next week). We try to make sure that everything works for Firefox on a Mac and PC, Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and Safari on the Mac. Of course, sometimes things slip through the cracks, as was the case with this bug, but thanks for reporting it. Thanks, Arash |

I started a group page. However I am not able to customize the page. I do the changes and then I hit the save button and nothing happens, it goes back to the old version...
Please help! it is so frustrating!
