I've co-opted the acronym SRI and changed it to mean Sustainable & Responsible Investing. To me, this provides the opportunity to set a more strict definition on the term.

If humanity is riding a boat towards the inevitable waterfall that results from unsustainable behaviour, it is my opinion that current SRI practices are merely slow the boat down. Corporate Responsibility has resulted only in incremental improvements in efficiency and gargantuan levels of greenwashing. Sustainable & Responsible Investing attempts to show how companies can turn the boat around by presenting a new vision of a sustainable future, and how investment strategies can help guide society towards a restorative economy.
