We used to have the option before of deleting comments that we've written; is that at all possible now? And I'd also like to know how forums are deleted or archived.

Thanks!

Ditto, it'd be nice to delete previous comments, or at least be able to edit. I spell things wrong constantly. :)

I'm new to this network and I wish I knew how to delete a comment I made, by mistake, in my own profile. Does anyone know it? I did not find the answer at the FAQ section.

Hello all,

The process of suppressing unwanted comments is a little cumbersome at this point, but here it is -

1. Click the 'Flag for Review' button the link. This will send the comment to a queue of comments that have been flagged.

2. If you are an Editor, go to Recent Activity, then go to View Comments across site. Then finally click on 'Review Flagged/Deleted Comments'. Once there, find the flagged comments in the list and select, 'Suppress'. Now the only editors will be able to read the comment.

If you are not an editor, please contact anyone with editor status and ask them to suppress the comment for you.

Thanks

For future updates to the comments, there should be a way for users to delete their own comments or forums. This is a common option on forums elsewhere. It shouldn't have to be brought to the attention of an editor. Editing comments soon after they've been posted is something else I'd like to see (also common).

Editors should be able to "un-flag" comments as well, as there are clearly many which don't need to be flagged anymore. It's a bit tedious having to dig through the same comments.
