Warm greetings to everyone.

My name is Narda, born in Israel, in the UK since1987, a mother, a grandmother. I moved from Oxford and now live in Hawick in the Scottish Borders. Though I have been working as an Artwear designer in Oxford and London - now scaled down to a little shop on the High Street making and selling jewellery and natural fiber clothes - my main passion for over the past two decades has been the education concerning the Unity of Being. Or, the kind of self inquiry through which it is possible to come to a universal vision of One-Self.

In the early 90's we have organized and held courses and seminars for Beshara at our home, the Old George in Burford, on a voluntary basis. I began writing poetry in 2004 and published my first book, which I have also designed, in 2007.  I have been designing publicity material for the Chisholme Institute this year, also on a voluntary basis. Recently started In The Eye of the Hand Poetry group on WiserEarth as for many years I have been quite besotted by a growing sense of an emergence of a new universal spiritual vernacular.

As a member of A Greener Hawick (under Transition Scotland), I see a great potential and benefit in this regional platform, one of which is exchange of information particular to Scotland. Another, is the possibility of gatherings, events and so on. My feeling is that Scotland as a whole is a strong participant in the response to the current global crisis - offering numerous large grants to address it, as an example.
I am amazed to notice that this response ranges not only in the purely eco-matters, but that Scotland has become a home for quite a few leading educational-spiritual organizations and communities of their kind. I do hope that eventually this group will also give a big picture of what is going on in Scotland.

So, please

1. Introduce yourself - why did you join the group and what are you working on right now?
2. Join in with any discussions from our group's home page or ask a question by setting up your own discussion
3. Send a message to other members - go to send a group message under Group Tools the group's home page - or invite new people to the group
4. Also, if you haven't had the chance, don't forget to fill out your about section so that other people on WiserEarth can read about what you are working on right now
5. See who else is in our group and say hello to others

If you have a better logo to represent Scotland it will be a good start.

With many thanks for the work you do and best wishes

Narda
